Temptrol™ Radiant Curtains
Temptrol™ as a curtain liner
With rising energy concerns, maximizing energy
efficiency while minimizing cost is of great
importance. Using energy efficient windows to
slow down heat can cost thousands of dollars,
and insulated curtains are bulky and difficult
to maneuver.
Temptrol™
fabric is a thin, lightweight fabric that will
block heat from entering and exiting your house.
Working as a radiant barrier, it can block
radiant heat in both directions while shading
you from the hot sun. To make it more
cosmetically appealing,
Temptrol™
is white on one side, so it looks like the
curtains themselves.
Temptrol™
fabric can be sewn on a regular sewing machine,
or even heat seamed to appear continuous and
seamless, so if you add
Temptrol™
as a curtain liner, you will feel the difference
of a radiant barrier without having to see it.
Light colored fabrics, while resisting heat,
allow light to pass easily. While typical
blackout fabrics can impede light, they absorb
more heat, adding to the energy problem.
Temptrol™
blocks nearly all of the light while
reflecting 95% of the radiant heat. Another
aspect of using typical blackout cloth is the
fact that, because the cloth is a closed weave
cloth, there is a difficulty in providing
adequate ventilation. This can leave your home
feeling stuffy, even when your window is open.
Temptrol™
doesn’t have this problem because it is also
perforated, allowing breathability.
Temptrol™
perforations can even prevent condensation.
