How to Install Super R® Radiant Barrier

Installing Super R® Plus radiant barrier requires a tape measure, a pair of scissors and a staple gun. That’s it!

In an attic application, Super R® Plus radiant barrier can either be stapled to the rafters or laid on the attic floor over existing insulation. The choice depends on whether you want to lower the temperature of your attic in the summer.

Stapling the Super R® Plus radiant barrier on the rafters lowers the temperature of the attic 22-28 degrees in the summer. Laying Super R® Plus on the attic floor will not lower the temperature of the attic in the summer, but will prevent heat from entering the attic in the winter.
