METAL CEILING
To achieve R value in the ceiling, Tempshield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation was tested using the following assembly: a corrugated metal exterior, 1/2" extruded polystyrene thermal breaks 5' on center, TempShield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation, and 8" Z purlins commonly used in metal buildings.

To achieve R value in the walls, Tempshield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation was tested using the following assembly: a corrugated metal exterior, 1/2" extruded polystyrene thermal breaks, TempShield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation, 8" Z purlins, and 1/2" wafer board to represent an interior finished wall.
