Radiant Barrier and the Environment

Super R® Plus radiant barrier, Tempshield® reflective radiant barrier and Temptrol® metalized cloth reflective insulation do their part to help the environment by lower the consumption of energy. In addition, the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) required on all building materials states that radiant barrier contains no harmful chemicals and poses no health risk.

Traditional mass insulation like foam or fiberglass has to be replaced every several years because they compress and contract, making them less effective. In addition, those materials can “off-gas” as they compress and release harmful particles in the air.

Once installed, Super R® Plus radiant barrier, Tempshield® reflective radiant barrier and Temptrol® metalized cloth reflective insulation will never need to be replaced.
