METAL CEILING

To achieve R value in the ceiling, Tempshield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation was tested using the following assembly: a corrugated metal exterior, 1/2″ extruded polystyrene thermal breaks 5′ on center, TempShield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation, and 8″ Z purlins commonly used in metal buildings.

WALLS

To achieve R value in the walls, Tempshield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation was tested using the following assembly: a corrugated metal exterior, 1/2″ extruded polystyrene thermal breaks, TempShield® Reflective (Bubble) Insulation, 8″ Z purlins, and 1/2″ wafer board to represent an interior finished wall.
